Our growing team in Carrollton is committed to maintaining the highest standards in safety, health and environmental (SH&E) performance.
Announced in May 2017, we broke ground on the new fumed silica manufacturing facility in September 2017. The facility is scheduled to be operational by 2020 and will extend Cabot's long-term relationship with Dow. Once operational the site will manufacture fumed metal oxides that are used in adhesives and sealants, coatings and other applications.
Carrollton Groundbreaking Ceremony
Cabot and Dow celebrated the groundbreaking of Cabot's new fumed silica plant, which is located adjacent to Dow's Carrollton site. Cabot President and CEO Sean Keohane, Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin, Secretary Derrick Ramsey, as well as more than 150 local officials, business leaders and community members celebrated the groundbreaking in September 2017.
